OKRON comes from the Georgian word “gold”, to evoke the gold spirit of this wine.
Our philosophy follows the ancient Georgian artisanal winemaking method, to which this wine is a tribute.
The vineyard is located at an altitude of 400 meters in San Lorenzo Maggiore, Benevento Province. Vulcanic, Clay and limestone soil, very exposed to the Mediterranean wind and sun.
Malvasia grapes are selected, harvested manually and gently pressed. Contact with the skins is lasts 15 days.
Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in Qvevri with a capacity of 1,000 litres, without additives. After 12 months, it is bottled without any clarification or filtration.
It is an aromatic, with an explosion of tropical fruit, pineapple, peach, honey, combined with citrus flowers and white flowers. It is dry, with high acidity and long persistence.
